- Sliding from room to room in a CQB environment?
The way I limit my wastefulness when it comes to airsoft is I limit my budget to a measly $1 per day. By forcing myself to play with this extremely low budget, I have to think about each purchase I make, and question if it coincides with why I'm playing: to have fun and spend time with other people.
This is your budget for the year, make it count.
If you take a look at the research I've done, an average day of airsoft should only cost ~$60. As a result, I can play about once every other month with this very small budget.
When I hear about others who buy closets of guns and other extraneous stuff, I can't figure out why they then complain about 'how they can't play as often as they wanted' or they 'don't have the money' to play.
If I were to randomly buy another gun of some sort and still maintain my $1/day budget, I would essentially be subjecting myself to not playing airsoft for the year. As a result, the brand new gun I just bought would sit idle for a year before there would be a chance of it being used in a game. Have you ever seen those classifieds ads for guns that are 'practically brand new' or 'only used once'? This is why!
Next time you consider going looking online to look at another gun, take that money you would've spent and go play airsoft. You're more likely to get your money's worth.
(The only exception to this rule I would make is the initial purchase of stuff when you decide you want to be an airsofter. I'm not that strict :3)
